Haskel On The Move: New Life for Hydrogen Refueling Stations

September was a busy month for Haskel Europe, with the decommissioning, relocation and recommissioning of two hydrogen refueling stations (HRS).

Haskel, which has been providing hydrogen refueling solutions for several years was recently challenged to decommission, relocate, and recommission one of its earlier hydrogen refueling stations. Initially supporting the French postal service (La Poste), the station was located in Luxeuil. Haskel successfully relocated and safely recommissioned the station in Grand Dole, becoming the first hydrogen fuel distribution station in the region.  src=

Haskel is committed to supporting our service and we were more than happy to support the relocation of the equipment in line with the new owner’s needs and objectives. Stewart Anderson, Engineering Manager, commented,

“This was a great opportunity to give one of our original hydrogen refueling stations a new lease on life and, as Haskel is the OEM of the majority of the components within the system it meant we were perfectly positioned to be able to complete this project safely, on schedule and within budget.”

Being the major component manufacturer for its HRS installations is a significant advantage that Haskel has over other hydrogen refueling station suppliers.

The second major event saw Haskel successfully commission a new fueling station in Nantes, France. The operator Semitan, has launched a shared hydrogen production and distribution station called MuLTHy. It was installed in the technical center of the Boulevard Marcel-Paul in Saint-Herblain. This electrolyzer-fed installation has the capacity of fueling over 50 vehicles per day. The hydraulic drive (H-Drive) used in this HRS was launched in 2017. Since then, over 120 units have been installed globally with major successes in Asia for the refilling of mass transit (bus) vehicles. Haskel has designed and constructed the station to include a multi pass cooler that maintains the efficiency of the H-Drive providing cost effective refueling with IR communication.
