Our Helium Gas Compressor Systems are built around an 8” Haskel air-driven gas compressor with capabilities of delivering high pressures and high gas flows for optimal completion tasks.
These helium gas compressor systems are designed to compress helium gas from gas cylinder supply at 200 barg (2900 psi), decreasing to 10 barg (145 psi) and boosting up to 1,000 bar (14,500 psi) depending on the model.
Haskel's Helium Gas Compressor Systems begin with a Haskel gas compressor. These compressors are designed with the highest quality for longevity and easy maintenance. Haskel gas compressors use patented seal systems to give a long working life, providing the capability of transferring and pressurizing a wide variety of gases, including helium. Other features include:
Mounted within stainless steel robust roll bar frame
Includes a stainless steel control panel
Panel is finished with color-coded engraved mimic diagram for ease of operation
Gas safety pressure gauges, pressure controls, and isolation valves come mounted on panel
Easy installation—Gas cooling comes from the air exhaust within the drive section
Ideal for onsite pressure testing and gas transfer & pressurization
Portable design
Applications
Helium leak detection - Haskel helium pumps are used for high-pressure leak testing of underwater Christmas trees and other installations to ensure hydrocarbons do not leak from the structure and risk contaminating the sea or creating an explosion. Helium gas is used at pressures up to 2,000 bar (30,000 psi) because of its leak-searching capabilities, particularly in detecting porous castings. Sulphur hexafluoride (SF6) can also be used in leak detection gas.
Leak detection testing is critical to prevent material loss by leakage, avoid contamination of a product or of the environment, maximizing system performance and reliability, and minimizing product liability if leakage presents a hazard.
Gas Transfer and Pressurization - This can include various applications such as gas accumulator charging, pressure and leak testing of various pressure containing components, pressurization of gas cylinders, or general gas transfer, boosting, or mixing.

Performance curves are shown based on a 100 psi air-drive supply; higher air-drive pressure will result in higher flow capacity, just as lower air-drive pressures will result in lower flow capacity. Metric flow capacity curves are available upon request. ATEX Certified versions available upon request.
