Air Driven Gas Booster - AGD Series Double Acting, Single Stage

Haskel AGD Series double-acting, single-stage gas boosters are air-driven units that double the volume capacity per cycle compared to single-acting models. Designed for efficient, low-to-medium compression ratios, they utilize inlet gas pressure to assist the air drive. These robust boosters are ideal for high-pressure applications like nitrogen charging, CNG, and hydrogen filling, offering up to 35,000 psi (2,500 bar) capabilities.

Oxygen Gas Boosters are Oxygen cleaned for high-purity to meet MIL SPEC 1330 D, in Class 100 (ISO 9001/AS9100 Certified Class 5) clean rooms where components are oxygen precision cleaned, and a Class 1,000 (Class 6) room where cleaned components are assembled. Oxygen Gas boosters are rated to pressures up to 5000 psig/345barg.

IECEx certified hydrogen configurations are available across the AGD range, including AGD 14 (83451), AGD 62 (86986), and AGD 152 (86988), confirming compliance with internationally recognised safety standards for operation in hazardous and explosive hydrogen gas environments.

Key Features and Benefits

  • High Efficiency: Double-acting design increases capacity and reduces air consumption.
  • Safe Operation: Pneumatically driven, eliminating risks of fire, spark, or explosion.
  • Reliability: Features self-lubricating seals, making them low-maintenance and eliminating the need for an air line lubricator.
  • Versatility: Capable of handling most gases, including Nitrogen, Helium, and Hydrogen.
  • Control: Infinitely variable output speed and pressure, with the ability to stall at a set pressure without consuming power.
  • Distance piece with dual venting to isolate drive and gas sections to prevent cross contamination and external contamination of the process gas.
  • Active cooling of the gas section with used drive air
  • Gas compression ratio should be kept below 6:1 on single stage boosters when handling inert gases (5:1 or less for oxygen and hydrogen)
